Even the Wind and the Waves

In 2020, God placed a dream on my heart to impact lives for His glory using stickers. For three years, I worked to grow Stickers from Uganda and get our stickers into stores. During that time, we had sales all across the globe, including one large wholesale order that went to the gift shop at the Ark Encounter. However, because a considerable portion of each sale goes back towards meeting the needs of children from the Batwa tribe, we lost money each year of operation.

Because I was losing money and burned out from my efforts, at the start of 2024, I made the difficult decision to direct my energy and time towards other projects and put Stickers from Uganda on the shelf.

I tried everything within my power to bring Stickers from Uganda to the level of success that I believed it could attain, and to be honest, when I felt it was failing, I was angry at God, because I did not understand why this beautiful dream that I felt God had given to me was beign unrealized.

Since putting Stickers from Uganda on a shelf in 2024, it has remained lingering in the corner of my mind. The dream of what it could be still turns restlessly within me.

In Mathew chapter 8, the disciples marveled at how the stormy wind and sea obeyed Jesus. They got to experience the power of God showing up in their lives because they got into that boat with Jesus. I want to get into the same boat as Jesus, too. I want to see that power. I have decided to reactivate the Stickers from Uganda website as an act of faith and worship. I will be sharing this new journey on our blog as I look to follow Jesus with this dream and see where He leads it. I tried for three years to make it happen on my own, but I came up short. If the dream that is Stickers from Uganda is to be realized, it will be because the wind and the sea obey, so let's get in the boat and see where He leads us.
