The Batwa

The Batwa are one of the oldest documented tribes in Africa. For thousands of years, they lived as "Keepers of the Forest" before being evicted from their home so that the Bwindi Impenetrable Rain Forest could be made into a World Heritage Site to protect 350 endangered mountain gorillas.

The Batwa are now conservation refugees, with no home. Malnourishment, along with a lack of basic health care, clean drinking water, and shelter, results in many children's death. The Batwa are prevented from returning to their home in the rainforest.

Small Actions

We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to share some beautiful drawings from Uganda and make a small difference in the lives of these amazing kids who deserve the opportunity to go on and chase their dreams.

We love these stickers and these children and we hope you do as well.
